About Us

Our Mission

To build a self sustainable LIVING focusing on the ecosystem through education and recreation of natural resources that the land offers us.

Who We are

Seeds of the Future (SOTF) is a global, independent non-profit organization that uses natural resources to end poverty and promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future.

Our Story

A group of thoughtful, committed citizens came together in 2010 to create a better world with no poverty. A handful of determined volunteers came together, invested from their own money and believed that a dream of a world without poverty was possible. The group started working with orphanages, providing clothes, toys, hair cut, etc.. and also traveling to countries in Africa and Santo Domingo providing dental and hygiene care. They worked with communities cleaning the river and planting trees in Brazil. After almost 10 years the group understood through experience that providing goods is a “short fix”. The old saying “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” The general principle of alleviating poverty by facilitating self-sufficiency has a long history and became part of the vision of the organization.

Our Work

SOTF bring the community to work together to build their own paradise. By teaching the skills on how to do it and re-connecting them with the natural basics, engaging the communities in the process where they help make their own houses, in a sustainable matter and educate the families on how to care for their community.

Each family’s Domain— just a small plot of land to create their own little paradise – The house is made from natural resources, such as cob or stone. The water is collected and harvested by the rain with special filtration. Solar panels for energy. Vegetable gardens and fruit trees in their plot. The toilet is built in a composting matter, so the rivers and ocean don’t get polluted.

Hundreds of trees planted in the streets within the community, especially a variety of fruit trees. Flowers enhance the community and permeable pavement streets that allow infiltration of stormwater through the surface into the soil in order to minimize flooding.

Paying Forward: After a community is reconstructed the way they pay back is paying forward helping the next community to replenish and so on.

Our Commitment

We believe that life is a game and the only way for you to win is if everybody else wins; we have the power to redirect the future of our civilization, we just need to get together as one. If we work together we can live in a better world without poverty, benefiting all of us with safety, pure air and clean water.

Our Philosophy

“Poverty is optional”, what we mean by that is that the planet earth was designed to give us everything. The good earth is rich and gives us all we need. We depleted our earth, polluted the water and air. We turned against each other. We lost the connection with nature and now is time to reconnect.

Our Volunteers

We welcome, value, and rely on a diversity of people, cultural experiences, and perspectives. We learn from one another. Through our work, we create solutions that promote environmental sustainability rooted in social justice. we have volunteer opportunities for you.

Our Funding

Seeds of the Future has been funding SOTF organization from the board of directors own money, without asking for help for many years. We need to grow and we need your help, your contribution, so we can reach many more families, plant many more trees. The most expensive part in building a sustainable community is salaries for employees. We will not be paying employees to build houses, we will teach the villagers how to do it. The money we ask for from our donors is to buy basic materials for rain water harvesting, solar panel, composting toilet and seeds for the tress and gardens. Your support provides the backbone of our organization and is invaluable to our efforts.s.

Our Promise

Your contributions and your donations will go to the expansion and economic focus of the village and rebuilding an ecosystem environment.
